Introduction
Our
deluxe tours include modern professionally
serviced Harleys, unlimited mileage, guides
with over 50 years' riding experience, quality
accommodation, most meals and heaps of fun and adventure.
We can schedule lay-overs at interesting destinations allowing you to fully experience the local
scenery, culture and history.
New Zealand has two main islands each of which
offers a very different scenic experience.
We provide one to three-week guided tours
from October to April. Longer tours are designed
to encompass both North and South Islands,
crossing between the two by ferry. Expect
the unexpected. Snowcapped mountain peaks
reflected in blue/green lakes, wild rocky
coastlines, cool green forests, gold-mining
towns, bare tussock-covered hills, great food,
top wines. A huge range of vineyards and orchards
provide plenty of excuses to pause.

The
one-week tours take in as much variety
as the mid-North Island has to offer. See
volcanic geothermal pools and boiling
mud, rolling green farmland, beautiful
beaches and lakes, deserts, mountains
and cityscapes. Enjoy panoramic views
as you eat fresh trout for breakfast or
exquisite prawns for lunch. Experience
unique Maori cultural entertainment. Any
thing's possible.
New
Zealand roads are mostly two-lane highways
with medium-length straights and many
curves and bends. Most of the terrain
is suitable for beginners with some riding
experience, yet challenging enough for
more experienced riders. The legal open
road speed in New Zealand is a comfortable
100kph(60mph) – or slower as we pass through
small towns and villages. Stop to take
photos if you want - let us know what
you want and we'll try to accommodate
your needs. [top]

Hire
Motorcycles
We
have a small modern fleet of twin-cam
Harley-Davidson motorcycles for hire.
Most are equipped with saddle bags or
standard pannier bags and/or tour boxes
for luggage. Racks have also been fitted
to some bikes to accommodate wet-weather
clothing or an extra small bag. We try
to hold your choice of motorcycle - however
as our fleet is small it may not always
be possible to provide what you request,
therefore bikes are reserved on a first
in/first served basis. [top]
Insurance
Motorcycle
hire insurance is included in your rider
package price(riders under the age of
25 years of age will incur additional
insurance premiums). Travel, accident
and medical cover is not provided. You
will be required to sign a disclaimer
before commencement of tour. [top]

Weather
New
Zealand has a temperate climate with temperatures
during the summer months ranging from
17-30 degrees Celsius(64-86F). You would
expect fine weather most of the time,
however rain is common in some areas and
temperatures can drop considerably, so
come prepared. [top] |
